THE STORY BEHIND THE PICTURE
After having spotted this magnificent place, I had to choose the key moment to create a unique image... I went back there at the sunset when a storm was imminent. The light behind the rock and the thick clouds was barely visible. A long exposure captured this mysterious glow. The wind blowing, the black clouds approaching, the increasingly agitated gulls, the waves crashing on the rocks…
The chills were there and I wanted to capture each element of this mythical scene. I stayed in place for 45 minutes without moving my tripod to take dozens of photos that would ultimately only be used to create one.
Despite the gusts, I had to remain very stable at the risk of not being able to stack my images. I also had to delicately remove and replace my light filters without moving the camera to be able to capture the waves extremely slowly and the gulls extremely quickly… all while thinking of capturing the images with a similar dose of light to achieve a harmonious result. As soon as I got back, I started assembling. Five photos caught my attention. Four hours of work on the computer and "Imminencia" came to life.
