Artist's Statement
A night I will never forget. On May 10, 2024, a powerful solar storm made the Northern Lights visible across southern Quebec, reaching a rare KP9 on the geomagnetic index.
Anticipating this moment, I set out to capture this aurora borealis display along a forest river and waterfall... a location chosen to reflect both sky and earth. After a one-hour walk in the dark, with no guarantee the lights would remain, I arrived just in time.
What unfolded was a breathtaking northern lights photography scene... a vibrant, colorful spectacle where sky and reflection merged, revealing a true bridge between two worlds.
