Crystal Storm
Is one of my favorites takes in this collection. An artistic angle, a background that could not better represent the Canadian winter, and a magical foreground. The sun at the zenith below which flakes resembling diamonds explode under the clatter of galloping hooves.

on the road of freedom in perfect harmony
with this vast Nordic setting. It was towards the end of my adventure with these horses that the opportunity for this take presented itself. Having pulled off the shot of my dreams, I left aside the planning, the focus, and the thoroughness to savor the present moment and simply enjoy the spectacle offered by the horses in the snow. But I must admit that I couldn't resist for long...
I knew that what was coming was a big picture.
I only had a few seconds to drop on my knees in the snow , frame, adjust focus and that was it! Unlike ‘Perfection’ this take was unprepared, its angle is a lot less mathematical, but it does have something that thrills me every time I look at it. While this take was much more spontaneous, I probably would have missed it if it wasn't for a few 8 hours of fieldwork improving my technique to conquer "Perfection". Glad to have had 2 great takes from completely different recipes.

we all love it and looking for it in our own way.
Some feel free in planning, precision and organization, while for others the feeling of freedom is found in spontaneity, surprise, and the unforeseen. Although we sometimes taste it for a few moments, it often slips through our fingers. What can we learn from horses?
