The Brave One
The more subjects you have in a photo, the more difficult it is for their position to be harmonious and for the composition to appeal to the eye.
This photograph has not been prepared. After days of working with these beasts, I gained their trust and was able to share many unique moments with them. Like the one of the horses gathered, facing me with the bravest one of the group standing proud at their head. For these kind of photos all I would have hoped would have been that no horse's head was cut off.

And I sure wouldn't have been so proud of this take if the scene had been arranged. I had about ten seconds to choose my composition before they moved, and I would have made the same choice with 10 minutes in front of this scene...
Only patience and determination
To create this collection, it was just me and the herd on an acre of snow. When you choose to be true to your values, the road is sometimes longer but the destination is much better.
