First, it is not the coyote that encroaches on our territory, it is us who encroach on its by combing the natural areas of cottages and second homes. Second, man has decimated the forests of pumas and wolves being the main predators of coyotes. No longer having natural regulators, the coyote population continues to grow and it is only a matter of time to see the domino effect. The complexity and perfect balance in the food chain is beyond us. It is often years later that we understand the repercussions our actions have on nature.
